Maia's story
Hi, I'm Sarah, an independent ski instructor working in Zermatt, Switzerland. My passion for skiing and delivering a fulfilling, and memorable experience for my students has taken me all over the world. With over a decade of teaching experience, I have taught students of all ability and ages. I bring the perfect blend of empathy, patience, fun, and encouragement to make every minute of your time on the slopes an adventure the remember!

Maia represents nurture and growth, and this is my approach to teaching, to gently and patiently encourage my students to step out of their comfort zone, try new things and find their inner adventurer!
I hold the BASI level 3 ISIA ski instructor certification for both Alpine and Adaptive Skiing and the Swiss Patent.

I am highly qualified in Adaptive Skiing and have a wealth of experience in teaching people with additional needs. This year I started working for the British Assocation of Snowsports Instructors, as an Adaptive Ski Trainer, training other ski instructors to teach disabled skiers.

I am also a qualified children’s occupational therapist and yoga teacher – all skills that help me understand and meet the needs of my students.

I have developed a fear of height over the past couple of years and Sarah helped me with this and also my technique and I'd had not had lessons for many years. Sarah taught me things I never knew and has given the extra bit of confidence I needed. I cannot recommend Sarah enough and will for sure book Sarah every time I ski in Zermatt.

Great ski teaching skills, both for beginners and advanced!!! Excellent knowledge of ski pistes excellent to avoid crowds and icy runs. Lots of fun and knows the best places to eat on the slopes!!! Highly recommend for a fun and safe ski vacation.
